It’s a sex bot. But it’s bullet proof, and can take orbital laser strikes and only be mildly inconvenienced and can use it’s hand as a drone, has active camo, and now sonar in it’s arms. Holy fuck, do they over engineer the fuck outta sex bots, or they just grabbed a combat droid, that had sexbot OS uploaded on it. Holy fuck

Vestine paid for all the military level upgrades, as a narcissist she obsessively must have the best

I think that somehow you need to find a way to provide that info into the story along the way. Otherwise it reads like oh SH-one-T, I’ve painted myself into a plot corner, I need to create a “get out of jail free” card.

I don’t think that you should reprise the “these are the upgrades to your Aston Martin, Mr Bond” trope but maybe something like “where did that come from? what else can I do?”

Of course it would need a retrofit to an earlier page – maybe one of the devil scenes?

I’ve hinted at it before, here:
Page 287, frame 4, Steward: Because she grew up poor, Vestine always demands the best… even when it doesn’t make much sense.
Page 301, frame 6, Steward: We’re so much more than those cheap sexbots.
page 325, frame 1, sidebar: Only available with the Platinum upgrade.
but I guess maybe better to spell it out clearly. It just hasn’t fitted in naturally anywhere yet.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that is certainly true but I would categorise those as reminders of what has been said earlier. Only it hasn’t.

But maybe it is just me being picky, Does anyone else see this as an issue?

Sometimes being obvious takes away the magic. Keep ’em guessing. As I’ve said before, it’s a graphic novel, not a physics text book.

It’s highly likely that all the robotics tech used by the sex bot industry was pioneered by the military. It makes sense to me that a even a sexy design like Lisa would be backwards compatible with all the latest military upgrades. Factor in that she had to be a believable patsy for that mass murder in Hong Kong. She had to be at least a little dangerous.

It took me a while to realize that the pink dot was Steward. It looks like a distant light in the morning mist.
